Holy Week

Easter is the time when the Islanders' religious devotion truly comes to the fore. Many of Tenerife's municipalities celebrate the traditional ecclesiastic processions and ceremonies. La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz, Icod de los Vinos, Santa Cruz, Adeje, Arona and especially La Laguna are home to very popular processions. In the municipalities of Candelaria, Güímar and Adeje, a display of the Stations of the Cross is put up.
