Trail description
The trail starts at the foot of El Teide. As you walk gradually away from the mountain, its spectacular dimensions become all the more visible. You will be walking along on old mountain track which, in springtime, is lined with beehives to gather the popular broom flower honey. The lava decorating the dome of MontaƱa Blanca with a variety of shapes makes for a spectacular sight. The trail ends on the Siete CaƱadas pathway, at the foot of the Guajara precipice. The vegetation is alive with broom bushes, laburnums, peak roses, marguerites and flixweed. In spring and summer, the area is buzzing with insects hovering around the flowers that tinge the scenery with whites, yellows and pinks.
