Trail description
This practically flat trail takes you to the bottom of the volcanic cone of Guamaso for a closer look. The cone is made up of various kinds of volcanic matter, but the most striking are the volcanic bombs dotted all over its slopes. You will also see the kinds of plants that typically grow in the National Park. Note how the Canarian pine forest slowly gives way to the high mountain bush. On some days, you may also get to see the spectacular sight of the sea of clouds beneath you. The imposing silhouette of El Teide adorns the horizon to the west. Head back the way you came to return to the car park.
